Product Description
Featured in the 1001 whiskies you must try before you die book
"A nose of sticky maple syrup, sharp sherried fruit, mulching grass and mint gives way to a rich taste of caramel, brittle toffee and polished wood. Underneath there is a smoky meatiness like slow roasted beef, and it's all capped with a touch of lightly floral lavender."
Mortlach doesn't get anywhere near the praise that it should, pretty much everything we've tasted so far has been excellent, A really good value for money dram in today's marketplace. Now completely discontinued as they prepare for some new standard release bottles for 2014.
