Product Description

A rare 30 year old from the Closed Millburn distillery that was one of three distilleries in Inverness to close in the mid 1980's.

Distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2008 by Independent bottler Gordon & Macphail, one of the most well respected and longest established indie bottling companies.

Nose: Earthy and minerally apples, lime pop, herbal and soapy notes (fresh laundry!) touches of candyfloss like sweetness and traditional toffee and a touch of smoke.

Palate: Rum and ginger fudge, more minerally apple core notes, some herbal, candied citrus and subtle coal smoke on an oily body.

Finish: Apple bon bons, minerally, ginger soda pop, drying singed herbs and oak smoke.

Classic old North Highland coal smoke evident here, a pleasing museum piece of a Single malt.
