Product Description

The first new release under "The Triple Cask" range of Macallan after the discontinuation of Macallan’s 1824 series – a range of four NAS single malts launched in 2012 and named Gold, Amber, Sienna and Ruby, based on the whisky’s colour.

The changes also involve a new bottle design, described by Macallan as ‘a bold new look’ and said to have been inspired by the packaging of Macallan Rare Cask and Rare Cask Black. The new bottle has broad shoulders, with a chevron cut into the bottle near the neck, and also includes an anti-refill closure and the use of anti-counterfeit technology.

By consolidating the core range to Sherry Oak, Double Cask and Triple Cask Matured, Macallan will showcase their range of single malts aged in Sherry oak, European and American oak seasoned with Sherry and Bourbon .

As the name suggests this is aged in three types of wood (European and American Sherry seasoned oak and Ex-Bourbon American oak) and more in style with the old "Fine oak" range.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Complex, with hints of vanilla, melon and lemon zest.

Palate: Medium balanced with lemon citrus, vanilla and light toasted oak and nutmeg.

Finish: Lingering with melon, papaya, fresh oak and oak spice.
