Product Description

This Lagavulin was Bottled at the Bruichladdich Distillery and very rare to find an independent bottling of this distillery.

Bottled by Murray Mcdavid, co-owners of the Bruichladdich distillery when this was bottled in 2004.

Nose: Mossy yet fresh, almost baked egg custard with a coastal seaweed note, menthol and green vegetables over white pepper pear smoke. Some herbal shortbread, sooty lime cordial, vanilla almond freshness and even a mojito like mix.

Palate: A wonderfully clean and fresh delivery with lime curd, menthol, ripe pear, preserved figs and angelica. A waxy and oily mouthfeel but the peat is well balanced with white pepper and herbs emerging.

Finish: Peat infused lime and salted green fruit (figs and pear) elegant and long with lingering notes of menthol and classic Lagavulin green tea like nuances.

A stunning limited release Lagavulin, so well balanced and perfectly poised.
