Product Description

Yes that is right, peated Bourbon! Mash bill of 70% New York sourced corn, 15% barley & 15% peated barley.

Established in 2010 and the first new whisky distillery in New York State since the days of prohibition making it the oldest of the 50 and growing new craft distilleries to open in New York.

Now located in the Brooklyn naval yard having outgrown the original premises in Williamsburg.

The peated Malt is from Scotland and indeed almost a hybrid of Scotch and Bourbon in a hip flask shaped bottle.

“The dram is salt-forward from start to finish, interspersed with rich bursts of flavor. Hot rubber, pretzels, slightly bitter baker’s chocolate, warm leather, and hard candies define the palate. The body is meaty and rich; tannic, but not unpleasantly so. As on the nose, peat is not a primary element, but it is clear that this is an exceptionally complex spirit.”—Whiskey Wash (93)
