A single grain release from the most northern Scottish grain distillery, Invergordon which is the grain used for the Whyte and Mackay blends.
Distilled on 1/2/1988 and bottled at 27 years old on 1/2/2016
Natural Colour and non chill filtered, bottled at 45.8% ABV
Nose: Peanut butter, horlicks, toffee popcorn, vanilla fudge, white marshmallows toasted/melted into hot chocolate, egg custard tart dusted with nutmeg, nutty nougart.
Palate: sugared almonds, chocolate rice krispies cakes, toasted marshmallows, custard powder, meringue nests and some vanillin spice on a very mellow body.
Finish: White Chocolate, sponge cake mix, creme brulee tops, vanilla panna cotta, toasted cereal/flapjacks with runny honey.
A lovely balanced and moreish Single grain, a cake stand at a summer fete of a whisky!
