A lesser known Speyside distillery and well known for its more coastal/salty style, bottled at 14 years old and at 46% from the ever reliable connoisseurs choice range of Gordon & Macphail Independent bottles.
Nose: Lemon, thyme, freshly baked shortbread, salted lime cheesecake, grassy, fresh cereal, malted milk biscuits.
Palate: Salted lemon, freshly baked biscuits, touch of fresh green herbs and floral-grassy barley, boiled sweets.
Finish: Malty, lemon thyme, lime curd, yellow plums, salted almond, herbal greek honey.
Lovely aperitif style malt that is well balanced and elegantly refill sherry cask aged.
