Product Description
Your guess is as good as ours on which of the 2 Orkney distilleries this 20 Year Old Secret Orkney is from. All we know is that this is very approachable and a popular style of whisky with a focus on a smooth and fruity character. Also a great price for a 20 plus year old Single Malt.
This is the 2nd batch of Single cask whiskies from the Alistair Walker Whisky Company, cask strength and natural colour with a focus on some high quality but lesser known distilleries.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose Liquorice, toffee apples and a feint hint of heathery peat; freshly laid tarmac.
Taste Malty and sweet - lots of honey and cereal notes; crunchy nut cornflakes.
Finish Medium, creamy finish.
Wonder where this comes from…? A clue might be in the slightly peaty notes that come through – is there a distillery on Orkney that has a small % of peated malted barley as part of its mash bill?
