The 6th release in Glenmorangie's private edition series, this one being produced using traditionally floor-malted Maris Otter barley which was introduced as a special brewers barley in the 1960's and the name Tusail translates from the gaelic meaning originary.
Nose: Aromatic barley,melon, ginger, peach flan, dried apricot, hay lofts, freshly baked biscuits, vanilla custard, sugared almonds.
Palate: Nutty toffee, spiced praline, caramelised peaches, french toast, rustic barley, ginger biscuits, ripe melon, pink grapefruit with vanilla icing sugar.
Finish: juicy and fresh white stone fruit and pink grapefruit, creamy vanilla, dusting of aromatic spices, apricot danish pastries.
A very elegant and dare I say breakfast whisky addition to the private edition range.
