This 12 year old Glengoyne is a fantastic and very very easy to drink dram that puts Whisky many times the price to shame.
Highland or Lowland, what land?
Glengoyne distillery lies where Scottish Highlands meet Lowlands and is one of two remaining producers that use Golden Promise barley.
The Glengoyne 12 Year Old isn't peated at all, as the barley is air-dried, which is also a part of the Glengoyne tradition. It's a perfect balance of oak and sweetness - Bourbon casks add fresh notes of citrus and Sherry wood brings intensity and richness.
