Product Description

One of the original set of Family cask releases from the Glenfarclas range of rare and old single cask releases that go all the way back to whisky distilled in 1952 and first released in 2007.

Distilled 26/2/1954 Bottled 27/2/2007

Aged for 53 years in a single Sherry Butt cask #444

Only 406 bottles released at natural cask strength 52.6% ABV

A full amber gold colour-almost shiny.

A big powerful nose. Very strong, especially for its age. An old whisky that is definitely not ready to roll over and admit it's age just yet!

This whisky is very different to the Glenfarclas 1954 vintage. It is much more powerful, promising so much on the nose, think "SSS" sweet, smoky and seductive- and be entrapped by the aroma.

A beautiful full whisky that compliments the aroma perfectly. You still get some of the prominent peaty flavours but they are encased in deep tannins of old oak.

You will find the joyous taste of this dram will linger and linger.
