Product Description

One of the original set of Family cask releases from the Glenfarclas range of rare and old single cask releases that go all the way back to whisky distilled in 1952 and first released in 2007.

Distilled 21/9/1966 Bottled 27/2/2007.

Aged for 40 years in a single Sherry Butt cask #4177.

Only 514 bottles released at natural cask strength of 51.5% ABV.

A dark amber colour with lots of warmth.

A very fresh nose-flawless after 40 years-with a hint of the sweetness of toffee caramel.

It is a full whisky with a slight spiciness on the palate. Very warm with a little tannin coming through on the aftertaste.

All in all, it's a beautifully full bodied whisky with all the flavours and experiences you could wish for from a 40 year old dram.
