Product Description
The oldest release in Glenallachie's 3rd batch of Single Casks, this particular release is from a Single Oloroso Sherry Cask.
Oloroso Sherry is made in the Jerez area of Andalusia, Spain and is often dark and nutty with a long finish. The slightly smaller hogshead cask, compared to a butt or puncheon, gives greater wood and spirit interaction, enhancing the intensity of flavours.
Offisial Tasting Notes
Colour - Rich Mahogany.
Nose - Heather honey, mocha, nutmeg, pineapple and eucalyptus.
Taste - Waves of dark chocolate, mocha and almonds, followed by orange zest, grapefruit and ginger.
