Product Description

One of the many Speyside distilleries to be lost in the 1980's with no production since 1985 and although the buildings still exist as a warehouse space and offices for the independent bottling company Murray-Mcdavid with rumours that one day the stills may produce whisky again in the future?

This an old Gordon and Machail release from the 1980's or early 1990's.

Nose: Leafy and mulchy, vegetal, forest floor, leather, artichokes, waxy dried fruit, floral, green banana, coffee fondant.

Palate: Coffee creams, walnuts, touch of sooty spice and smoke, old tea chests, winter spice.

Finish: Old fashioned toffee, leafy and vegetal, savoury wood smoke, peppery oak and walnut.

Old fashioned Speyside with a savoury smoke element, a real museum malt.
