Product Description
A Clynelish from the second batch of indie bottler Elixir Distillers' Reserve Cask series. Distilled in 2010 and 2011 and matured in five barrels for eight years, this Clynelish has aromas of chocolate-coated honeycomb, concentrated apple and candied sweets on the nose. The palate offers notes of honey, custard, cream, pastries and delicate fresh herbs.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Childhood favourites float into memory: honeycomb coated in milk chocolate, refreshing cloudy apple juice and a selection of juicy boiled sweets.
Palate - Delightfully herbal Linden honey mingles with the alluring flavour of custard-filled puff pastry. A pleasantly rich and unctuous texture on the palate.
Finish - The aromatic spiciness of cardamom and fenugreek is layered with a lovely mouth-coating quality.
