Another legendary bottling of old Bruichladdich. Distilled in 1970 and bottled in 2002 this is one of the highest rated bottlings out there. 95 points from Whisky Fun.
Matured in American Oak Hogsheads, this has a very fruity nose with apricot, pear, passionfruit and gooseberry, ther's also alittle vanilla sweetness and a touch of menthol. The palate is smooth, oily and textured with lots more fruit evident. apricot annd melon again along with a little oat cake and a slight drying grassines. The finish is smooth and lingering. A whisky you wont want to finish.
