A fascinating and unique blended malt, matured partially in indigenous Scottish oak casks. This delicate, aromatic whisky has a gloriously fresh and fruity character (particularly orchard fruits and citrus) alongside subtle sweet oak spice. Just 2157 individually numbered bottles of this limited release were produced. As you would expect, this whisky in un-chill filtered and of natural colour.
A new range of whiskies from the experimental arm of Whyte & Mackay, Whisky Works. These classic Whiskies are aged, rare whiskies, with some featuring old stock that may not be available in the future. Also employing modern experiments and uncommon methods of maturation to create truly unique, characterful whiskies. Carefully selected by whisky-maker Gregg Glass, all the whiskies are genuinely small-batch.
Scottish Oak rarely yields the knot-free staves needed for barrel-making, and these fallen elders provided suitable timber for just one single cask. Initially matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels and refill American White Oak casks, a portion of whisky was then finished in native Scottish Oak cask to bring out the prominent orchard fruit notes.
