Product Description
A cracking indie bottling of Bladnoch Single Malt, a revitalised Lowland distillery that has been making great strides in the last couple of years. This is a lovely, well aged example from Gordon and Macphail, matureed in a refill American Hogshead (Cask No 5803) and great news, it's also bottled at cask strength. One of only 199 bottles.
Supplier Tasting Notes.
Aroma - Flashes of fragrant lavender oil initially with a medley of fruit to follow: kiwi, pear, mango and ripe banana. Aromas of butter shortbread spread with apricot jam evolve into dried meadow flowers.
Taste - Delicate and refined; dark chocolate coated lime candy opens into drying cocoa powder. Flavours of green apple and vibrant citrus complement the smooth toffee undertones.
Finish - Balanced; fruity with hints of toasted malt and a slight woodiness.
