Product Description
A new release for 2017 and a peated version of the Benriach cask strength that was one of the best releases of 2016 and now sold out.
Nose: Lots of green fruit (pear drops, lime, green apple) here, all dusted with a layer of aromatic wood, tangy white ash like peat, chocolate limes, grassy vanilla notes and a touch of clove.
Palate: Green fruit, herbal notes, elderflower, lemongrass, spicy white pepper, capsicum like heat, fresh citrussy peat tinged with aromatic clove, vanilla and firm oak.
Finish: Salty lime curd, dry vanillin oak, green peppers, green apple, herbal-presse cordial, white pepper, vermouth and plenty of tangy peat here on a long and pleasing finish.
Another superb Benriach release aged in a combination of Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon casks, if you enjoyed the Birnie Moss intensely peated release you will love this 56% cask strength release as well.
Grab it before it goes the way of the non-peated release as this is a limited batch and not part of the core range.
