Product Description
An independently bottled, Single Cask Auchroisk, part of the Infrequent Flyers range of whiskies. Bottled as a 13 Year Old Single Malt, Auchroisk whiskies have always been noted for their smooth and slightly fruity character. Initially bottled under the Singleton moniker, official bottlings are few and far between as much of the stock goes towards the J&B Blend. As such these Indie bottlings offer a real insight to the style and character of the distillery.
This is the 2nd batch of Single cask whiskies from the Alistair Walker Whisky Company, cask strength and natural colour with a focus on some high quality but lesser known distilleries.
Official Tasting Noites
Nose Tropical fruit salad - waves of banana, pineapple and grapefruit, with hints of marzipan.
Taste Really vibrant, fruity and full of life. A rich sweetness - honey, treacle and Demerara sugar, with a devilish touch of peppery spice.
Finish Creamy, soft and slightly fruity, with digestive biscuit notes.
Part of a parcel of 4 or 5 Auchroisk sibling casks, this one really stood out. Its colour was so bright and vibrant, which immediately suggested further investigation would bear fruit, which it did, both figuratively and in terms of flavour profile. The distillery’s shell and tube condensers increase copper contact, leading to a very fruity little number.
