A single cask richly peated Indian single malt from Amrut, drawn from a single Port pipe which is one of the largest cask types used for maturing whisky.
This expression was a limited release specially bottled for La Maison du Whisky, bottled at a mighty at 62.8% ABV.
Nose: Blackcurrant cordial, fruity liquorice, burnt raisin, rootsy-earthy notes, toasted aromatic spices, cigar leaf.
Palate: Stewed berry fruits, woody-bark like notes, more rootsy-aniseed and fruty liquorice, spicy blackcurrants, smoked peppery meats, earthy and bramble like.
Finish: Drying, aromatic tobacco leaf, aniseed and smoked meat, stewed fruits of the forest and plenty of rich wood smoke and peppery oak.
A big, bold and stewed fruit of an Indian single malt, you may need a drop of water here!
