Product Description

The final release of the four part "Cuatro Series" (Spanish for Four) from The Tomatin distillery that showcases four different Sherry cask finished single malts (Fino, Manzanilla, Oloroso and here Pedro Ximenez)

Aged for 12 years, 9 spent in Ex-Bourbon casks and 3 years in 1st Fill Ex- Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks.

All four in the series were distilled on the same day (January 15th 2002) and only 1500 bottles of each were released.

Nose: maltloaf, figs in dark honey, coffee & walnut cake, toffee apple, clove and anise spice.

Palate: Sherry soaked raisins, treacle toffee, dark chocolate, aromatic fruit tea, mocha and spicy walnuts.

Finish: Sweet pepper, dark ginger, clove, walnut, treacle tart and fruity liquorice.

A sweet and chewy treat of a whisky and definately no tricks here, just beautifully poised PX cask influenced Highland Malt.
