Any use of this website and any order placed with Hard To Find Whisky (HTFW) are conditional on your acceptance of our terms and conditions which are detailed below or are available on request.
We reserve the right to amend our Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice and at our discretion, it is your responsibility to review these stated Terms and Conditions at regular intervals and before placing your order.
We reserve the right to amend, modify, discontinue or suspend all or part of this site and may restrict your access to all or part of the site at any time without notice or liability.
This site is intended to be used and accessed only by individuals of legal drinking age in their country of residence or in the country from which you are accessing this website.
By placing an order with us you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions of sale:
We do not collect or capture ANY of your financial data, we will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent or as required to process your order.

Orders placed with us are processed in British Sterling and in the English language. Any matters relating to the HTFW website shall be governed by English law and in particular to the licensing act of 2003 in relation to minimum legal age.
2. PRODUCTS & ORDERS
All our products are a mixture of new and previously owned unless clearly stated otherwise.
We make every effort to ensure the products we supply are of the highest quality, reach you in good condition and are delivered promptly.

All orders are accepted subject to availability of stock at the time of picking the order.
3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
All photographs, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising are for the sole purpose of providing illustrations and approximate descriptions only. A more detailed explanation can be obtained by contacting our sales department. This explanation will be based on our own independent knowledge and is opinion only.
Please also be aware that batch numbers, vintages and bottling dates may be subject to change. If this happens we will do our best to inform you before the item is shipped.
4. PRODUCT GUARANTEES
Products are not supplied on a trial basis. Everything we sell is guaranteed to be in perfect condition or match the condition as per our product description.
5. SELLING PRICES
We reserve the right to amend our prices without prior notice.
Prices are correct at the time of publication or upload to our website.
We are not obliged to supply goods to you until we have confirmed acceptance of your order. The acknowledgement email you may receive does not constitute order confirmation or acceptance.
6. PURCHASING FROM US
Alcohol may only be purchased if you are of legal age for your country, which is 18 years old in the UK and sometimes up to 21 years old in other territories.
We are unable to process your order until your payment method has been received, credit / debit / charge card has been authorised or proof of address accepted.
By submitting your order, you are offering to buy the goods and allowing us to use your personal details for the purposes of supplying those goods (including passing your personal details onto couriers and other subcontractors). Your personal details can be removed from our system on request.
No items or title of the goods shall pass from us to the customer until payment has been received in full.
Customers are responsible for the suitability of the goods they are purchasing. If any product supplied is not used for its intended purpose, subjected to abuse or unreasonable usage will void the warranty on the goods.
Customer may use our currency converter as an estimate only. Please contact your bank, PayPal or your card issuer for their exact exchange rate and/or any other charges.
Please note we do not reserve any items at any time as it is unfair to other customers.
No stock will be allocated to you until payment is received in full. Stock will not be held while we wait for correspondence from the customer.
All orders are subject to availability.
7. AVAILABILITY OF GOODS
We go to great lengths to ensure that everything shown on our website and catalogue is available to order and is in stock. However, due to the nature of our business and dealing in rare produce, it is inevitable that from time to time we may go out of stock. We are also sometimes dependent on our own suppliers to deliver stock to us.
We will always try to inform you if an item is not in stock when you place your order with us. We will then give you the option of a full refund or the ability to wait for further stock to arrive.
8. CREDIT / DEBIT / CHARGE CARDS
Credit, debit and charge cards are accepted without surcharge.
We reserve the right to deliver any order to the cardholders billing address in the interests of protecting both the card holder and this company against credit / debit card fraud.
In the interests of protecting all our customers against credit card fraud, you may be asked to provide us with proof of your address at anytime. If you refuse to provide us with this evidence, your order may be cancelled.
If you are using a credit card not belonging to yourself, you must give the cardholder's full name and address. We will then contact the cardholder to obtain approval.
The use of stolen credit cards will result in international police notification and court action in all cases.
9. IF YOUR CARD PAYMENT DECLINES
Should your card payment be declined please be aware that this is entirely a decision of your bank. Please contact them to resolve any outstanding issues you may have.
All orders are shipped in the appropriate packaging; computer tracked with barcodes and can be followed up at any time by logging into your account.
Orders shipped by courier can be tracked online from your website account.
We advise you to ensure somebody is present at the delivery address since most orders require a signature upon delivery. Once goods are delivered and signed for they become your responsibility.
If in the unlikely event that your order is damaged or lost in transit, a replacement order will be issued. If we cannot supply an identical order we will issue you with a full refund.
11. SHIPPING TIMES
Our orders are handled and shipped by third party couriers, therefore all delivery dates and times given are only estimates.
We endeavour to get your order to you within the estimated delivery time, however, on rare occasions your delivery may be delayed. We cannot be held responsible for delays by the courier / postal service or for any consequential losses you may suffer if the delivery is not on time for whatever reason.
Orders being shipped to remote locations may on rare occasions, be slightly delayed by the courier / postal service.
12. SHIPPING CHARGES
Charges will be calculated on our website for online orders or quoted by telephone when ordering by traditional mail order.
If your order is returned to us undelivered due to your own fault you will be responsible for re-shipping charges.
13. THE CONSUMER PROTECTION (DISTANCE SELLING) REGULATIONS 2000
This regulation only covers countries that are member states of the EU. If you are ordering from a member state of the EU other than the UK please check you countries regulations on distance selling as this may vary. If you are ordering from a country that is outside of the member states of the EU this regulation is not applicable, but we will do our best to adhere to these guidelines in the way your returns are dealt with.
You have the right to return any item ordered via this website for no reason and without penalty for a refund. This excludes any bottle that has been opened, consumables or worn items. If you wish to return an order please write to or email:

To return an unwanted order you must give us notice within 7 working days starting on the day after you received the goods from us.
We shall refund the total amount of money paid by you for the goods, less any costs to collect the goods if required, within 30 days starting from the day on which we receive notice of cancellation in writing from you and subject to the goods being correctly returned as detailed below.
If you are returning an item under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you are responsible for the return shipping costs.
Please note that any items returned under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 will require a Returns Authorisation number (RAN) and be returned as per our standard returns procedure.
14. IMPORT DUTY & TAXES
It is your responsibility as the customer to pay all applicable customs fees and taxes for your country. If you refuse to pay these charges then your order may be abandoned and you will lose your goods as well as your money. These taxes are normally only applicable for non UK and non European Union countries.
15. DISCOUNT VOUCHERS
From time to time we will supply our customers with special discount vouchers and special offer promotions. These discounts will be available to use on the majority of our products, but not on everything we sell. We reserve the right to exclude certain products and brands from promotional offers.
When placing your order you will be told / contacted if the discount is not available on that particular product.
We reserve the right to withdraw any offer or discount at any time.
You may cancel any order before it has been shipped. Once your order has been shipped our returns policy will then come into effect.
Please note that the only way to cancel an order is by contacting us in writing or by email.
If you cancel an order by email you must wait to receive a confirmation of the cancellation. Your order will not be cancelled until you receive this.
17. SELLING ITEMS TO US
Please make sure the item you wish to sell to us is a 100% exact match as per our website description and offer price.
Once we have received the item(s) you are selling, we will consider the transaction final and your payment will be arranged.
You must be the legal owner or have permission of the owner to sell your items to Hard To Find Whisky and be of the correct legal age in your country.
Hard To Find Whisky takes no responsibility for damage or loss for items sent to us. Customers are recommended to get proof of postage and insurance from the post office or courier you use.
All payments will be made by company cheque and will be processed within 7 working days. Payment is made based on the value offered at the time of transaction only and is subject to all your items passing our final inspection.
Hard To Find Whisky reserves the right to cancel your sale to us at any time without prior notice and return the good to you at our cost.
No photography, imagery, text, reviews, source code or any other material from the HTFW website (www.HTFW.com) may be copied, altered, cropped, transformed, built upon, or in any other way changed or reproduced, whether from our own websites or copied from third party websites who are in breach of this condition themselves or otherwise redistributed content without our prior written permission.
19. WEBSITE USAGE
You may link to this website provided that you do so in a fair and legal manner. You may not create any type of link to the site if it suggests any form of association, approval or endorsement to a website where none exists.
You may not link to this website if doing so will damage or in any way harm the reputation of Hard to Find Whisky, the trademark owners of the products we are selling or any associated companies.
