Built in 1974 as a model distillery, Auchroisk show-cases a still-house containing eight lantern-headed pot stills that are arranged in two neat rows. The Auchroisk Distillery decided that customers would find it difficult to pronounce the name Auchroisk, so they produce “The Singleton” malt.
Interestingly, Auchroisk was one of the first distilleries to finish their whisky in a sherry cask. The majority of the whisky distilled here is used in Guinness UDV’s J&B Blend.
