Dalmore

Dalmore was built by Alexander Matheson in 1839 and located in a part of the country where fine barley is grown. The distillery lies opposite the Black Isle, an area which is full of wildlife including porpoises, buzzards and herons! The distillery still retains its original Victorian buildings.
The emblem on bottles of Dalmore is the stag’s head of the Mackenzie clan, this is because the Mackenzie whisky family owned Dalmore for over 80 years. A lot of cigar smoking circles favour Dalmore and so the “Cigar Malt” was made to foster this association. The cigar malt goes very well as an “after-dinner” whisky. The Dalmore distillery has a visitor centre which is open all year.
