Product Description

Peated to 40 phenol parts per million, this is perhaps the first-ever heavily-peated single malt to be crafted exclusively from Islay-grown barley.

"What a lovely Port Charlotte! On the nose the cereal is stronger while on the palate it’s the fruity character that shines which makes it a bold and well rounded whisky. It’s a sleek and velvety offering to the peat lovers." Whisky Gospel

"It’s a searing whisky with lots of peat and seaweed in the mix. Nice balance." DrinkHacker

Nose: Salted pineapple, lime curd, sweet citussy peat, minerally barley, fresh coastal sea breeze, soapy notes, oily fishing ropes, delicate and perfumed.

Palate: Fresh and inviting with its perfumed, grassy and creamy peat, lemons and limes, buttery biscuity grain/barley and herbal pear drops.

Finish: Smoked shortbread, red apple, ashy kiwi fruit, aromatic grassy peat, pear drops and creamy vanilla and lime curd like finish.

A superb example of how to make an interesting and complex peated malt without having to wait 10 years, many Islay distilleries would kill to be able to make whisky this good after just 6 years.
