Product Description

A 30 year old St Magdalene which was issued in 2004 as part of Diageo's annual Special Release series.

A now long closed distillery from the Lowlands that is known as both Linlithgow and St magdalene.

Featured in Ian Buxton's 101 legendary whiskies you are dying to try but (probably) never will book.

Tasting notes:

Nose:Crepe suzette, candied tropical fruit, pineapple on the griddle, lemon icing sugar, garden herbs (especially thyme) bon bons.

Palate: Orange fondant, pancakes with runny honey, fresh pineapple, oily and herbal body.

Finish: Fresh and vibrant, lemon and thyme, runny honey, pancakes with tinned orchard fruit in juice.

Wow..so fresh and fragrant for a 30 year old malt at 59.6% ABV, a pancake day of a malt. Simply Gorgeous!
