Product Description

This "cryptic concoction" has experienced seven different finishes. Starting out in American oak bourbon casks, it was transferred into Jupilles, Les Bertanges, Limousin, Tronçais, Allier and Vosges casks before finally being married in Sherry butts.

Only 3,000 bottles were produced for the 2014 Feis Ile festival and bottled at 44%ABV

Nose: Earthy forest fruits with a biney/coastal smoke element, dark chocolte, linseed oil, prunes in gognac, charred pineapple, liquorice toffee, mossy heather.

Palate: Thick and toasted delivery with aniseed, smoked toffee, earthy red berries, tarry chocolate, bbq smoke and some savoury/leathery notes.

Finish: Dark chocolate, menthol, salty marzipan, chewy old fashioned toffee and baked orchard fruits in honey with subtle coastal smoke.

A very adventurous offering from Jura and along with the same company owned Dalmore are at the forefront of the multi cask finishing experimentation going on of late.

This was the first release of "The Tastival" series that have continued to be very different to the core Jura range and finished in a wide selection of different casks.
