Product Description

Glenisla is an extremely rare peated single malt distilled in the 1970's at the Glen Keith distillery, which for many years stood silent.

Nose: Lemon barley squash, melon, subtle peat smoke, waxy quince jelly, lemongrass, fresh tyhme, oily shortbread, fresh barley, pear drops and a touch of aniseed spice.

Palate: lemon drizzle cake, shortbread, smoked vanilla pods, barley sugar, herbaceous, melon, ginger, lemon tyme, oily smoked almonds, quince jelly, some white pepper and again subtle smoke/white ash.

Finish: White pepper, lemongrass, waxy quince, melon & ginger, sugared almonds toasted over vanillin oak for a subtle hint of smoke, singed lemon thyme, barley sweets and pear drops.

A lovely and very rare treat of a peated Speyside, very elegant and well balanced.
