Product Description

A 2008 vintage of two 8 year old first fill sherry hogsheads bottled at cask strength that is more like a whisky twice its age from the wonderful Glen Grant distillery in Speyside and bottled by the ever reliable Gordon & Macphail.

Nose: Dundee fruit cake, sherry soaked orange segments, chocolate, hazelnut, freshly polished new leather, ripe fig, espresso coffee soaked sponge (tiramisu?) old fashioned toffee.

Palate: A big and bold woody-sherried delivery with dates in syrup, toasted nuts, honey on brown bread, thick cut blood orange marmalade, plum pudding.

Finish: Dry and nutty, more toasted hazelnuts, orange, espresso coffee, sherry soaked dried fruit, glace cherry, bread pudding, chocolate covered raisins, ripe figs in honey. Long and chewy.

Feels both aged and youthfull at the same time! Great mouthfeel and yet quite mellow for the ABV, lip smacking lovelyness from first nose to last sip.
