Product Description

Signed by Jim McEwan at the distillery and released for the 2014 Feis Ile and the only Octomore to be quadruple distilled and aged in oloroso sherry butts with only 1695 bottles available (but not all with the now retired master distlleries signature!) Nose: Lemon drizzle cake, hot oat cereal, zesty orange marmalade and with water some earthier minerally, almost vermouth like notes. Palate: Very hot citrus and waxy, white pepper, spicy peat and with water more floral, vermouth like notes. Finish: Fizzy citrus and peppery peat and softening into biscuity barley and lemon curd with water. An experimental Octomore and this is quite a rollercoaster ride and one for the true Islay fan and lover of the self styled progressive Islay distillery.
